Pataki said, it is time for the GOP to reach a rallying around the former Massachusetts Governor — but not before letting fly a laundry list of flaws of Romney.

"It is difficult for having families, like mine for identifying with him," the rich Pataki added with no hint of irony. "It is difficult for Economic Conservatives to identify with him. The need to do more to reach the Latinos. "

Pataki endorsed Romney in the GOP the "deliberate candidates" while praising Gingrich sector rivals, Rick Santorum, Ron Paul.

But, asked "leaving for the wider good" so that they can focus on Romney beating Obama.

"We are still bogged down shooting between them and the President looking presidential," said the three former Governor of New York.

"People understand this country headed in the wrong direction, '' Pataki added. "I think Gov. Romney has an excellent opportunity to highlight a different philosophy of how he would lead this country."
