Raped and tortured by the Iranian regime

For daring to oppose 2009 presidential bid of my native Achmentinetzant in Iran, I was thrown into prison, tortured, raped and left for dead by the side of the road.

My oppression is sign of weakness the Iranian regime, something which must be exploited, the international community such as the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva this week held its first debate on the record of Iran.

To share my story with the world — and urge Nations to exercise every possible tool to stop a regime that eat their sons and daughters — will certify third Summit of victims taking place next to the meeting of the United Nations.

The decision before Member States would be if the renewal of the mandate of a special investigator to the deterioration of the situation of human rights in Iran.

Unfortunately, the top human rights body in the world of gross abuses we saw during the critical period of repression of 2009. But eventually took action last March. Placing Iran watch list for the first time, the Council created the position of an independent oversight. Ahmed Shaheed, former Foreign Minister of the Maldives, was appointed to a term of one year.

Unfortunately, however, the message of last year in Tehran was blunted by the fact that only 22 of the 47 Member States voted in favour of the mandate (with seven against, 14 abstentions and three — and one country absent, Libya, to vote because it stops the integration). Almost manifest signing.

This week is the first time that Shaheed will report before the Council. Member States should make sure that it is not the last of renewing his mandate — this time by a large majority that will resonate throughout the world.

Violations of Iran, stating before the eyes of the world recalls it fools with lies and hypocrisy preaching morality and justice.

It is difficult for me to repeat my count history. But if you do not agree with this — and unless good people to listen and take action — hundreds and thousands of people will continue to be arrested, my colleague brutalized and executed.

So I have decided to take the step this week in Geneva Summit for human rights and democracy, under the auspices of the United Nations Watch and 20 other human rights non-governmental organizations, which gathered renowned human rights activists who were victims of repression and imprisonment.

In 2009, I worked on the Mir Hossein Mousavi's presidential, a former reformist Prime Minister, with the aim of reintroducing true morality in the Iranian Government. When the status of the election hostage, I was a blogger, spread the word about the protest marches.
